Carton Lifter for Carton Sealing Machine Integration
A carton lifter is used when cartons need to be lowered for easier manual packing and then lifted to the infeed height of a carton sealing machine.
In packaging lines, cartons may come from a carton unpacking machine, manual packing station, or low-level roller conveyor. The discharge height of the carton unpacking machine is about 600 mm from the floor. For normal cartons, this height may be acceptable. However, when the carton is too tall, the top opening becomes higher than a comfortable manual packing height.
In this situation, operators may need to raise their arms too high when placing products into the carton. This can reduce packing efficiency and make daily operation less comfortable.

After the carton comes from the carton unpacking machine, the lifter can lower the carton to a more suitable manual packing height. Why Carton Height Adjustment Is Needed
Carton height is an important detail in manual packing.
When the carton exits the carton unpacking machine at about 600 mm from the floor, the carton bottom is already at a fixed conveyor height. If the carton itself is tall, the opening of the carton may be too high for comfortable manual loading.

How the Carton Lifter Works
The carton first comes from the carton unpacking machine or front conveyor.
After the carton reaches the lifter, the lifting platform can move down to create a more suitable manual packing position. The operator can then place products into the carton at a more reasonable height.
When packing is finished, the operator steps on the foot pedal to start the lifting process.
The cylinder lifts the platform to the same height as the carton sealing machine infeed rollers. When the platform reaches the upper position, the powered rollers start and transfer the carton into the carton sealing machine.
After the carton leaves the lifting platform, the discharge sensor confirms that the carton has moved out. The cylinder then returns automatically and waits for the next carton.
If the carton sealing machine is blocked, it can send a signal to the carton lifter. The lifter then pauses carton feeding until the blockage is cleared.

Safety Design and Operation
Safety is important for lifting and transfer equipment.
The carton lifter includes an operator-side guard plate and protective fence. During operation, operators should not place hands or tools under the lifting platform. Maintenance should only be carried out after power is cut off, air is shut off, and pressure is released.
Before production, the platform height should be checked against the carton sealing machine infeed height. After the platform rises, the roller height should be level with the sealing machine infeed rollers.
The height difference should not be more than 2-3 mm. If the height difference is too large, the carton may jam when entering the carton sealing machine.
